3/7/2018 – Dr. Kenneth Baca named new Superintendent of Madison School District

The Madison Governing Board voted unanimously at the March 6, 2018 Governing Board Meeting to approve the contract with Dr. Kenneth Baca for the position of district Superintendent, effective July 1, 2018.

3/1/2018 – Governing Board enters contract negotiations with Dr. Kenneth Baca

The Madison Elementary District Governing Board unanimously voted to enter contract negotiations with Dr. Kenneth Baca for the position of district superintendent during a special meeting on Thursday, March 1. The District will work to negotiate a contract with Dr. Kenneth Baca that will need to be approved in a public meeting, which will take place during the March 6 Regular Board meeting.

On March 1, 2018 the Governing Board will discuss and may consider offering a specific candidate the opportunity to enter into contract negotiations for the position of District Superintendent. The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. in the District Office Governing Board room. View the agenda.

2/20/2018 – Superintendent Finalists Announced

At the Governing Board Meeting on February 20, 2018, the Board selected and extended an invitation to the final candidates to participate in the upcoming community forum.

The community forum will be held at 6 p.m. on February 27, 2018, at Madison Simis Elementary (map). Attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback on each candidate to assist the Board in making their final selection of Superintendent.

2/9/2018 – Superintendent Selection Forum for Final Candidates scheduled for February 27, 2018

As part of the selection process for Madison’s new Superintendent, the final candidates will participate in a community forum during which members of the community will have the opportunity to interview and ask questions of the candidates. Participants will have an opportunity to fill out an online survey about the candidates, the results of which will be reviewed by the Madison Governing Board prior to their final selection.

If you are interested in participating in the forum, please join us at Madison Simis Elementary (7302 N. 10th Street) on February 27 at 6 p.m. The forum is scheduled to run until 8 p.m.

1/12/2018 – Stakeholder Survey Available through February 13, 2018

The Madison Governing Board is seeking feedback from all Madison stakeholders regarding the Superintendent search. Please take a moment to complete the following survey to share your thoughts with the Board. The data collected will be used by the Board to identify and select the most highly qualified individual for this very important position.
