Letter from the Superintendent 4/27/2018 - Madison School District

4/27/2018 – Letter from the Superintendent

Dear Parent/Guardian,

This letter is to inform you that all eight Madison Schools will be closed on Monday, April 30, 2018. Based on the number of teachers and support staff absences and a shortage of available substitutes, Madison is unable to provide adequate adult supervision for student safety and meaningful instruction. I appreciate the Madison community and your patience as we continue to evaluate our ability to resume normal school operations.

Current information indicates Madison employees will return to work on Tuesday, May 1st. Please watch for future letters, emails, texts or other communications from the Madison School District. A Question & Answer page has been posted on Madison school and district webpages.

If you have questions about specific activities planned at your child’s school, please contact the event organizers for information.

Thank you for choosing Madison School District for your child’s extraordinary learning. Thank you for supporting public education in Arizona.

Sincerely,

Quinn R. Kellis, Ed.D.
Superintendent
