Letter from the Superintendent 4/30/2018 - Madison School District

4/30/2018 – Letter from the Superintendent

Dear Parent/Guardian,

This letter is intended to inform you that all eight Madison Schools will be closed on Tuesday, May 1. I appreciate the Madison community and your patience as we continue to evaluate day-to-day, and on a site-by-site basis our ability to provide sufficient adult supervision to ensure safe and meaningful instruction. These decisions are based on the number of teachers, substitutes and support staff that will be available each day.

Madison Park Middle School will continue to serve breakfast and lunch to any currently enrolled Madison School District student on Tuesday, May 1 and as long as the walkout extends. Transportation will not be provided.

Address: 1431 E. Campbell Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85014
Breakfast: 8-8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11:45-12:45 p.m.

It is uncertain how long the walkout will extend and if additional instructional days will be added after May 23. Please watch for future letters, emails, texts or other communications from the Madison School District. A Question & Answer page has been posted on Madison school and district web pages.

Thank you for choosing Madison School District for your child’s extraordinary learning. Thank you for supporting public education in Arizona.

Sincerely,

Quinn R. Kellis, Ed.D.
Superintendent
